こちらの記事は以前（2007年～2018年）シェムリアップでヤマトゲストハウスと言う宿をやっていた時のものとなり、個人的な備忘録的に残しております。（当時はAmebaブログ）
こんにちは。シェムリアップの案内人、西村です。
本日は、シェムリアップに数あるNGOやサポート団体へのチャリティイベントのご案内2です。
西洋人経営のロージーゲストハウスでは1ヶ月に1度程度の頻度でチャリティイベントラッキードロー大会を行ってます。
他にも、オールドマーケットエリアだとランドリーバーやモーリーマロン、ネックスバー等もですが・・・。
で、イベント日に行くと、在住外国人でかなり盛り上がってます。
弊クロマーヤマトGHも、なんかできないかね～と思いつつ、彼らほどパワーもないので、微力ながらスポンサーとして協賛しています。
しかし最近では、日本人も様々な形でボランティア＆カンボジア貢献に来られており、ヤマトでも学校建設ツアーの集合場所となったり、チョールモイツアーズの主催するゴミ山の子供たちを遊びに連れて行くツアー等の張り紙告知などでお手伝いしています。
今後何か、カンボジアでのボランティアや活動を考えられている方、是非ヤマトに遊びに来てくださいませ～。
結構、日本語学校の先生になって～とかいうのも募集ありますよ～。

４月 今回のチャリティ収益243$をアンルンピごみ処理プロジェクトに寄付しました。
“Thank you for your generous sponsorship of our raffle in support of the Elephant Valley Project (EVP). The pub quiz and raffle, which was held on Friday 3rd May raised US$250 which will be used towards the current fund raiser at EVP to buy three of the currently rented elephants; Gee Nowl, Milot and Easy Rider..
Simon, the children and I have come to see the Elephant Valley Project ourselves to hand over the money raised and see first hand the work that they are doing in the community (they directly employ over 75 people), environmentally (they protect the area of forest that the valley project covers) and with the elephants themselves (there are now 13 captive elephants at EVP which means they do not have to work as logging or tourist carrying elephants and are free to be elephants). I’ve attached a photo taken yesterday of two of the elephants at EVP playing in the deep pool and enjoying themselves.”
５月 今回のチャリティ収益250$を象の谷プロジェクトに寄付しました。以下略。

５月353.125$をABC＆ライスに寄付しました。
“I would like to thank you for your generous support of our charity raffle which was held on Friday 7th June. I am happy to report that the pub quiz and raffle raised a total of US$204 for Volunteer Building Project Cambodia (www.volunteerbuildingcambodia.org).”
6月 204$をボランティアビルディングプロジェクトに寄付します。
“I would like to thank you for your generous support of our charity raffle which was held on Saturday 22nd June. I am happy to report that the BINGO Night and raffle raised a total of US$339.25 for Anjali House (www.anjali-house.com).”
6月 339.25$をアンジャリハウスに寄付します。
“I would like to thank you for your generous support of our charity raffle which was held on Friday 5th July. I am happy to report that the pub quiz and raffle raised a total of US$137.10 for Helping Hands Cambodia (www.volunteercambodia.org.uk), a sum that I’m told will provide 700 breakfasts for the children at the school they support.”
7月 137.10$をヘルピングハンズに寄付します。
こちらはちょっと変わり種で、ヤマトGHにあるロッククライミング施設を使った宝探しゲームに協賛したときのお手紙です。
“Thank you for supporting “The Siem Reap Treasure Hunt”Please see attached poster for details, the event raised $1,061 Thanks for your support,”
宝探しイベントでアンコール小児病院へ1061$寄付しました。

イベント自体は英語でずっとやってますが、食事もおいしいので参加するだけでもOKですー。
